PROTIQ Marketplace launches with a powerful partner

Anyone who wants to order a 3D object from PROTIQ in the future can look forward to a more comprehensive range of services from November 6, 2017. In addition to PROTIQ, other 3D printing service providers will now find a new home on the newly launched Marketplace. Customers will benefit from a more diverse product range, more freedom in configuration and convenient digital order processing.

On November 6, 2017, PROTIQ is taking a big step towards the future: the 3D printing provider's existing e-shop will become an online marketplace where other 3D printing service providers will also be able to offer their services in the future. PROTIQ's first marketplace participant is the laser sintering specialist FKM Laser Sintering. The company can already look back on more than 20 years of practical experience in additive manufacturing and currently processes over 5,000 orders a year on 33 systems. For both 3D printing providers, the partnership is the logical consequence of years of successful cooperation: "We have found that combining the expertise of FKM and PROTIQ has always led to exceptionally good results," explains Dr. Ralf Gärtner, General Manager of PROTIQ. "With the Marketplace, we will be able to play to our strengths even more effectively in future and offer our customers an even broader range of services." Together with Jürgen Blöcher and Harald Henkel, the General Managers of FKM Sintertechnik GmbH, Gärtner initiated the partnership that forms the cornerstone of the new marketplace.

With the launch of the online marketplace, PROTIQ is one of the first 3D printing providers to respond to the rapid growth of the industry and the resulting new challenges: Innovative 3D printing technologies are creating a growing demand for additively manufactured components in many areas and are resulting in increasingly diverse customer requirements, to which a provider must always be able to respond flexibly. Both customized one-off production and the production of larger product series need to be completed in the shortest possible time. The PROTIQ Marketplace will therefore enable customers to select the best solution for their requirements from a range of different 3D printing providers and configure and order their product directly online.
