From priomold to prioadd

Many of you already know priomold as specialists in plastic injection molding and additively manufactured plastic components. From this background, prioadd has emerged: priomold's former 3D printing division is now called prioadd.

Priomold and prioadd continue to work closely together and share a location. This maintains the short distances between injection molding and additive manufacturing – an advantage when projects are conceived from the initial idea to later series production.

Focus on industrial SLS 3D printing

prioadd focuses entirely on selective laser sintering (SLS) of plastic components for industrial applications. Using state-of-the-art SLS equipment, the team manufactures functional prototypes, small batches, series production, and complex individual parts that withstand high mechanical and thermal demands in later use.

In the SLS process, plastic powder is locally melted layer by layer using a laser until the component is completely built up. The thermoplastic materials used enable component properties comparable to injection-molded parts – without tooling costs and with short lead times.

Short delivery times and additive series production

prioadd consistently prioritizes speed in its processes. Standard SLS 3D printing cycle times – including cooling, unpacking, and defined post-processing – are just a few business days. Complemented by streamlined shipping processes, the components arrive quickly.

Series production is also part of our daily routine: Depending on component size and geometry, even high production volumes can be realized economically. The combination of industrial equipment, optimized build job strategies, and highly repeatable process control enables consistent dimensional accuracy and surface quality – without tooling and with short response times, for example, when design changes occur.

For PROTIQ Marketplace customers, only the supplier name is changing; everything else remains the same: You upload your data on the homepage, select the desired material, and choose the appropriate supplier. For injection molding, priomold remains available, while for SLS, you will now find prioadd.
