Innovation at PROTIQ: Multi Jet Fusion with white PA12

In our constant pursuit of innovation and the expansion of our range, we are pleased to announce an exciting development: PROTIQ is now offering 3D printing of white PA12 parts using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology in its own production facilities.

The advantages at a glance

  • •   Short running times
  • •   Long-lasting white, without discoloration
  •    Excellent for textured surfaces

Breakthrough in Multi Jet Fusion technology

The Multi Jet Fusion process stands for efficiency, speed - and gray components. For a long time, it was not possible to produce consistently white components with this technology, which is why it was rather unsuitable for applications in which white or light-colored parts were required. With the introduction of the HP 5420W machines, this has now fundamentally changed. This innovation now makes it possible to produce consistent and  UV-resistant white: a milestone that opens up completely new possibilities in the design of MJF components.

Versatile application options

The availability of white PA12 in the MJF process opens up completely new design options and areas of application. Industries such as medical technology and lifestyle products in particular benefit from this innovation, as they now have access to high-quality white MJF components that can be dyed in bright colors. Multi Jet Fusion is also a perfect choice for components with textured surfaces.

PROTIQ's Production Manager Clemens Boesen emphasizes the importance of this development: "Our customers benefit in particular from the short throughput times and can therefore have their high-quality components in their hands in the shortest possible time."

Focus on sustainability

HP's MJF technology is characterized by efficient use of resources, including up to 75% reusability of excess powder. This not only helps to reduce production costs, but also promotes more environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.

A look into the future

The introduction of the new technology and the collaboration with HP are exemplary of our approach of always pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We are proud to be able to offer our customers new possibilities and look forward to the innovative projects that will be realized.
