Phoenix Contact’s internal tool shop is among the top in its field and the best in the German-speaking world. As a participant in the prestigious “Excellence in Production” competition, the tool shop has already been named overall winner and “Tool Shop of the Year” twice and prevailed over world-renowned competitors. We owe this award not least to proactive technology development in the field of Industry 4.0 and additive manufacturing. “The high level of future orientation of the company’s internal tool shop is also reflected in the high level of qualification and consistent ongoing training of the employees”, said Klaus Hilmer as laudator at the award ceremony, head of technology development and tool shop at last year’s winner Festo Polymer.
Wide range of machinery with industry 4.0
The Phoenix Contact tool shop has a state-of-the-art machine park. This includes: 5-axis simultaneous milling, sink and wire EDM, start hole EDM, grinding, laser marking, coordinate and CT measuring technology. We also rely on a consistent implementation of Industry 4.0, which is particularly visible in a fully interlinked, automated production cell and an absolutely paperless production. An automated CAM derivation and the use of deep learning or machine learning methods (AI) for the generation of quotations also follow this premise. All this serves to offer you the highest possible quality and professionalism.
