Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is an advanced powder bed technology developed by HP that is known for its ability to produce plastic parts quickly and accurately. Unlike conventional 3D printing processes, MJF applies a liquid binder agent to a fine plastic powder. This binder is then selectively fixed with UV light or heat to create the desired shape.

One of the main advantages of Multi Jet Fusion is its high production speed and constant precision, which makes it possible to produce components in a short time. MJF makes it possible to realize complex geometries without additional support structures thanks to the layer-by-layer process.

By using heaters and fine agents, entire layers of an object can be solidified in a single pass, which significantly improves the efficiency and speed of the process. The technology results in a good surface quality of the parts and is also well suited to the production of small batches.

MJF's strength lies in the production of functional prototypes and consumer-ready products. It offers a wide range of customizable material properties that can be achieved using different powders and inks. The ability to extensively manipulate the physical properties of the printed parts makes Multi Jet Fusion a versatile solution for various industries such as consumer goods, automotive and healthcare.
