3D printing

An umbrella term for additive technologies with which components are produced layer by layer using computer generated data (CAD data). The terms 3D printing and additive/generative manufacturing are frequently used synonymously. Standard processes include stereolithography, selective laser melting/sintering, PolyJet/MultiJet modeling and ceramic 3D printing.
