Application: Oversized thermostat

An oversized thermostat was produced as a demonstrator for use on a trade fair stand. The aim was to present an everyday technical component in an enlarged and tangible form.
The model was manufactured from plastic using the selective laser sintering (SLS) process, then reworked, painted and supplemented with electronic components. The individual work steps - from additive manufacturing to functional final assembly - show how 3D printing can be used to efficiently implement even complex trade fair models.
