Stereolithography (SLA)
Regarded as the first 3D printing process. Here the work platform is lowered by exactly one layer thickness at a time into a bath of liquid photopolymer resin. The material is irradiated with UV light, which hardens the resin in the area. The production steps are repeated until all layers have been printed. With the SLA process, particularly fine wall and layer thicknesses can be reproduced in plastic, creating products with maximum detail resolution. Thanks to support structures that are removed manually, components with undercuts in the z-axis are also possible.
