PolyJet/MultiJet modeling (PJM/MJM)

In a similar way to the conventional inkjet process, several print heads apply liquid acrylic photopolymers layer by layer to the work platform in this 3D printing technique. In contrast to stereolithography, the material is applied only to the coordinates specified by the STL data. Once all the layers have been printed, the component is hardened completely with the aid of UV light. By means of various material mixtures, variable hardness grades and even transparent components can be produced. The MJM process also allows simultaneous use of different substances.
